摘要 | We report a simple and flexible microfluidic-based pressure sensor composed of a serpentine liquid-gallium structure encapsulated with a thin layer of polymer for monitoring intracranial pressure (ICP) of infants in real-time. Periodic pressure (100 to 180 mbar, 180s interval) was applied to the developed sensor and the measured resistances showed stable and consistent results. In addition, the resistance change showed high linear correlation with the applied pressure when tested from 70 mbar to 190 mbar with 20 mbar increment. We believe this thin, flexible, and non-invasive sensor will have a great potential to be used like a band-aid for monitoring the fontanelle ICP of infants. |
