摘要 | This chapter focuses on microfluidic-based synthesis of functional nanoparti-cles as well as their biological and medical applications. It provides an introduction to microfluidic synthesis strategy and the fabrication of microfluidic dives. The chapter explores synthesis and applications of microfluidic assembly of functional nanoparticles on disease therapy and diagnosis. It demonstrates the potential applications and remaining challenges of microfluidic synthesized nanoparticles. For many medical and scientific purposes, nanoparticles can be designed to have some specific characteristics including size, compositions, structural properties, and surface modifications. The synthesis of nanoparticles through microfluidic chips is usually a one-step method: after the reaction reagents are injected into the inlets, functional nanoparticles can emerge. For nanoparticles, size is one of the most important parameters that their biological and physicochemical properties highly relied on. The same nanomaterials with different sizes could have distinguished performance in biomedical experiments. |
