摘要
In recent years, the immersive technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), and multiple-sensorial media (mulsemedia) bring new multi-dimensional effects such as immersion, vibration, smell, airflow, etc. to gaming, video entertainment, e-learning and other aspects of human life. This paper introduces an adaptive mulsemedia-based delivery solution (DASHMS) which enhances classic multimedia delivery with effects such as touch, haptics and smell. It describes a study of learning experience with various stimuli when mulsemedia-based learning material is distributed in a real-life subjective experiment with 44 participants. The experiment evaluates user Quality of Experience (QoE) and the impact on learner education in the context of the European Horizon 2020 project NEWTON.
