Substrates that were previously regarded as too inert to be activated by conventional chemical catalysts/reagents,can now be considered in retrosynthetic analysis of complex chiral molecules,by virtue of the advancement of asymmetric visible light driven photoredox catalysis,which facilitates the occurrence of organic transformations via electron transfer processes under mild conditions. |
