摘要 | Embroidering antennas directly onto fabrics is the ideal solution for future wearable electronics and sensors. However, antennas embroidered with conductive yarns cannot utilize geometries with higher resolution, the yarns have higher resistivity than metallic materials, and the parasitic capacitance will be introduced during the embroidering process. These issues all limit the performance of embroidered antennas. In this paper, we use UHF RFID antenna as examples to explore quantitatively the limitations of embroidered antenna designs, and propose the guideline to design embroidery-friendly antennas to achieve a satisfactory performance. |
