摘要 | Blood glucose swinging constantly happens in both diabetes and non-diabetes populations. Nicotine withdrawal is a typical example in which the symptoms are characterized by extreme blood glucose fluctuation. By not smoking, the brain has a much better amount of oxygen than ever, but the blood glucose in the brain is usually running out during the de-addiction process. Being aware of the fluctuation in blood glucose is highly important for the tobacco addicts who want to alleviate the suffering during the de-addiction process. As a solution for the nicotine withdrawal problems, this study explores the feasibility of monitoring fluctuation in blood glucose using a substrate-integrated-waveguide cavity with a coupling slot for measuring blood glucose fluctuation on a real-time basis. |
