摘要 | For the sound scattering of a plate with an extension, the traditional Wiener-Hopf method is hard to obtain the near-field solution or converge in a low-frequency range. Recently, the unified transform method can be applied to address these problems. In this study, we investigate the effect of a poroelastic extension on the acoustic scattering of a finite plate using the unified transform method. The coupled effects of the elasticity, the porosity, and the extension length are investigated to explore the potential noise reduction of the design of a poroelastic extension.Results show that porosity can achieve more noise reduction than elasticity at lower frequencies.At high frequencies, both of them can achieve maximum noise reduction. The extension length is more effective in noise reduction when applied with large porosity at a low frequency or high elasticity at a medium or high frequency. The investigation aims to efficiently explore the potential noise reduction of the design of a poroelastic extension attached to a finite rigid plate and to shed some light on the associated noise reduction mechanisms. |
