摘要 | Recently, the hexacarbonyl diiron dithiolate complex ((bdt)Fe(CO), bdt = benzene-1,2-dithiolate) was reported for electrochemical CO reduction in CHOH/CHCN solution. To further simulate the [NiFe] carbon monoxide dehydrogenase (CODH) active center, another diiron dithiolate complex (1) with phenolic hydroxyl as second coordination sphere group was introduced to catalyze CO reduction electrochemically. Cyclic voltammetry measurements revealed that the phenolic hydroxyl group of 1 could lower the onset potential of electrochemical CO reduction. Under the best conditions, the maximum turnover frequency (TOF) of about 35 s and an almost equal amount of HCOOH, CO, and H were obtained. Fourier transform infrared reflectance spectroelectrochemistry (IR-SEC) experiments illuminated the intermediate with terminal coordinated –COOH and the changes of intermolecular hydrogen bonds during the catalytic cycle. |
