摘要 | Motivated by the rich physics of electric-field control of magnetic properties observed in recent experiments, we use the first-principles calculations to investigate charge-transfer-induced magnetism of the full d-band nonmagnetic metals. A ferromagnetic phase transition initiated by an electric-field-induced charge transfer was found for all full d-band nonmagnetic metals. Beside the ordinary Hund's rules in Cu and Ag, a more complex correlation between the charge and the induced magnetization has been found, especially in Pd. The origin of the abnormal charge-induced magnetization is determined by the Coulomb interaction-induced instability of spin degeneracy at specific charges. In addition, a large nontrivial anomalous Hall effect has been discovered, and the sign of the anomalous Hall conductivity can change as charge number varies, a feature potentially useful for future spintronic applications. |
