The TE011 mode resonator appears advantageous for presenting a higher quality factor (Qu) for the same volume, making it adequate for waveguide filters and multiplexers in terms of space applications. Yet difficulties emerge concerning spurious modes and negative couplings realization methods. This research explores approaches for fulfilling more advanced filter functions and realizing higher performance multiplexers using TE011 mode resonators. The synthesis approach and the electromagnetic (EM) design procedure are discussed.
