摘要 | The conventional generalized Chebyshev filter functions and coupling matrix method have dominated microwave community and provided a "panacea"for microwave filter designs. However, forcing all filters to a paradigm virtually imposes redundant limitations and prevents achieving the optimal solutions under physical constraints. This paper breaks down the "mental barrier"in conventional approaches and exploits these redundancies to synthesize and design more advanced microwave filters. Three applications including redundant resonators, redundancies in filter polynomials and redundant resonant modes are elucidated as examples. |
