摘要 | Incineration fly ash (IFA) is a fine particulate generated and captured in the flue gas purification device of the municipal solid wastes incineration plant. The characteristics of IFA, such as high soluble salt content and high leachability of the potentially toxic element (PTE), affect the selection of its further treatment technologies. Due to the relatively low content of toxic metals and the high content of alkaline substances, the leaching performance of PTEs from either IFA or treated IFA cannot be fully elucidated. This chapter first introduces the main types and their differences in the physical and chemical properties of IFA. Secondly, the currently available evaluation methods and the influencing factors on the metal leaching behavior from IFA are discussed. As the amount of produced IFA is increasing dramatically worldwide, interdisciplinary research methods and unified and suitable leaching tests need to be pursued to a better understanding of the leaching behavior of PTEs from IFA. |
