摘要 | Current large-scale computing services, such as online social networking and web searching, make the wired links in the data centers with an Ethernet infrastructure oversubscribed. Therefore, researchers consider to augment the data centers with wireless communication, called a hybrid data center network (HDCN), to improve the communication flexibility and network capacity. In this paper, we investigate how to use the wireless communication in hybrid DCNs from a cross-layer view. In the network layer, we propose a routing protocol to minimize the number of hops for data flows, and a congestion control protocol to reduce the congestion and deal with sporadic link failure. In the physical layer, we study the channel and power allocation problem with the SINR and QoS constraints in hybrid DCNs. In single channel scenarios, we prove the problem to be a geometric programming problem. In multi-channel scenarios, we prove the problem to be NP-hard and propose a Greedy based Online Channel and Power Allocation (GOCPA) algorithm. Our proposed protocols in network and physical layers collaborate to manage the wireless communication in hybrid DCNs. Extensive simulations show that our protocols can significantly increase the network throughput, decrease the latency, and moreover increase the robustness of the networks. |
