摘要 | Wind turbine is frequently damaged by lightning strikes. Most of damages occur in the control systems. This paper investigates the influence of grounding conditions of the cable sheath on the voltage distribution in control cables. Despite of simplified circuit method in previous WT analysis, this paper adopts a vector fitting enhanced PEEC method to implement a simulation with detailed electromagnetic couplings. Four different grounding conditions are analyzed. It shows that grounding condition has significant influences on the voltage distribution. Grounding at both ends of the WT tower shows the best performance in the view of lightning protection. Meanwhile, the proximity effect among cables will lead to uneven voltage distributions among them. It should be considered when complex cable configuration is used. © 2019 IEEE. |
