摘要 | To compensate the imprecise modeling method using a Poisson point process (PPP) in a cellular network, especially in urban areas, we adopt a more suitable modeling method using a Poisson cluster process (PCP) and analyze the coverage probability of millimeter-wave (mmWave) cellular networks. We apply a distribution function of the shortest distance between the typical user and its serving base station (BS) to derive the probability density function (PDF) of the distance. Then, accurate formulas for the Laplace transform of interference are derived under Rayleigh fading and lognormal fading. Furthermore, we compute the expressions of signal to interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) and rate coverage probability under these two fading, respectively. Our analysis and simulations show that the PCP-based modeling method of mmWave networks outperforms the PPP scheme in terms of coverage probabilities in low SINR threshold, high SINR threshold and high rate threshold. The results also confirm the accuracy of the formulas derived in this paper and guide the deployment of the mmWave cellular networks. © 2018 IEEE. |
