摘要 | Among all technologies that have the potential to be used in the next generation of wireless communication, spatiotemporally modulated metasurface and electromagnetic vortex beam show great potential for increasing channel capacity. In addition, it is found that the rotational Doppler effect, a phenomenon unique to orbital angular momentum carrying beams, has the capability to detect spinning objects by measuring harmonic shifts. The rotational Doppler shifts can also be applied in harmonics manipulation. However, the research on spatiotemporally modulated vortex beams is in its early stage. To date, only the mode reconfigurable vortex beam is studied, the design of vortex metasurface and applications of spatiotemporally modulated vortex beams are yet to be explored further. |
