摘要 | This paper introduces a wideband hybrid-mode antenna, which meets the new requirements of micro base station antennas. This prototype includes a feeding dipole to excite the H-slotted rectangular patch for a higher impedance performance, as well as a ground plane for the performance of unidirectional radiation. Slot mode, dipole mode, and patch mode, are sequentially excited for the wideband performance. The size of the demonstrated antenna is 0.31λ0 × 0.30λ0 × 0.14λ0 (λ0 is the wavelength at the center of operating frequency in the free space). The simulated impedance bandwidth is from 2.90 GHz to 5.58 GHz, which is up to 63.21% with a steady gain of about 8.98 dBi. The introduced wideband antenna can function as an element for a micro or macro base station in Sub-6 GHz communications. |
