Low-Cost and Simple Synthesis of Dispersed CsPbBr3 Perovskite Single-Crystal Wires with Lengths over 1 mm Using Bernoulli's Principle

Comparedwith polycrystalline thin films, perovskitesingle crystalswithout grain boundaries have better photovoltaic performance andstability. However, due to the extremely low solubility of all-inorganicperovskite in organic solvents and the complex phase diagram of CsPbBr3, directly growing large-sized CsPbBr3 perovskitesingle-crystal wires is challenging. Here, we have developed an airflow-assistedgrowth method for the rapid synthesis of large quantities of high-quality,dispersed, ultralong CsPbBr3 single-crystal wires underambient conditions. This method is green (no additives) and low cost(no special treatment). The growth kinetics of single-crystal wiresusing this method have been elucidated, and their structural and optoelectronicproperties were characterized. Some of the CsPbBr3 single-crystalwires synthesized by this method can exceed 1 mm in length with alow trap density of about 9.06 x 10(11) cm(-3). The constructed photodetector responsivity is up to 0.365 A/W anddetectivity is over 3.3 x 10(13) Jones, indicating greatpotential for optoelectronic applications. This low-cost, high-qualityall-inorganic CsPbBr3 single-crystal wire growth methodis highly scalable and may facilitate the research and applicationof all-inorganic perovskite single crystals.
