摘要 | This paper proposed a characteristic mode (CM)-guided trust-region (TR)-based optimization method for dual-band metantenna design. The approach implements the automatic mode manipulation of the metantenna, aiming for achieving desired radiation patterns within bands of interest. The desired modes are manipulated while unwanted modes are adaptively removed by utilizing a TR optimization framework with sensitivities. A metantenna for 5G mmWave dual bands is optimized and fabricated for validation. |
