The electric vehicle (EV) industry has experienced explosive growth in recent years. Although the extensive deployment of charging infrastructure is common to mitigate the range anxiety of EV owners, this is not a wise solution for old residential communities due to the limited power capacity and parking space. In this paper, the shared PV-Storage integrated fast charging station is introduced to address the difficult-to-charge issue in old residential communities. This paper proposes a novel optimal configuration method to minimize charging station space and charging pile investment, while optimizing the capacity of photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage. Through the field assessment for a residential area in Shenzhen, the data such as power load and light intensity were obtained and used to establish a configuration mode. The final case study shows that the optimal number of parking spaces is 6, the PV capacity is 73.9721kW, and the equipped energy storage capacity is 473.0349kWh (146.7624kW).
